And yes, they go to the games but the play is serious.

I just wanted to take the time to introduce you to my friend, Brandt Jones. Here’s a picture of him with his son. I needed to get more details about these pics but I forgot. Next time I see him I’ll get more info and edit this post.

This is a great photo. You would never guess this guy has such a gentle spirit. Isn’t it funny how you just connect with some people? I see Brandt about once, maybe twice a month and from those visits of maybe 15 or 20 minutes we have become friends.

So, are you still making new friends? I hope so. If you aren’t, you’re missing out on the stuff of life.

A Little Story About A Powerful Business Idea

Every once in a while a book appears at just the right time with just the right message. The Go-Giver is one of those books. The authors Bob Burg and John David Mann have hit on the perfect illustration of something I have been preaching to my internet marketing students for months; you need to give – a lot – without being afraid of giving away too much. But don’t think this little story is about just that. It goes so far beyond this idea that you will just have to read it to get the full understanding of the message. When you read it, you will understand why I say it has real value.

We all know the go-getters. Those people with drive, ambition, and if not successful yet, you know they will be. But Joe, the main character in The Go-Giver is sort of the antithesis of the go-getter. Thus, the name of the book. But don’t let the simplicity of this fool you. The depth of, well, real substance, taught in the five principles will change the way you think about business. And I’ll go out on a limb here to say it will change the way you look at all your relationships and even life itself.

Sure, that’s a big statement. So why don’t you take a look for yourself? It will be one of the best investments you make this year. Or ever, for that matter!

Look at The Go-Giver

Oh, and by the way, I bought a bunch of these to give away. It’s that good.

Cooper The Dog has arrived at our house and is terrorizing Trixie, Li’l Bird, the drawer knobs, me, and anything else he can get his puppy teeth on. We LOVE him! At six weeks, he is pretty big already and you can see him grow daily. I have a feeling that counter surfing will be the prefered sport at our house. So, how can we train him not to surf when we can’t even get him to stop biting Bren? Oh, the challenges of having a new baby!

Coop came from Walk-A-Doodles down in Hartsville TN. Jill and the gang are absolutely great! Thanks guys. We had a flat tire problem as soon as we headed toward home Saturday but Bill and Jill were so gracious in helping get us on the road again. Ever since then it’s been crazy.
Cooper is much like Brenda; they each have an on/off switch.
Thermostat? Whazat?
But Coop’s “ON” is WIDE OPEN.
Thank goodness he sleeps well in his crib at night! We just have to make sure he is good and tired.

We have plenty of puppy parenting challenges ahead I’m sure so keep us in your prayers. And come by and visit. You can take play/run/bite/potty duty for a while
